At D&T Independent Housing Company, we are dedicated to providing stable, supportive housing solutions for veterans. Our mission is to help veterans achieve financial stability and the independence they deserve, offering not just homes, but opportunities to thrive.

Our unique housing model is designed to give veterans a path to homeownership through affordable housing options. We are focused on rehabilitating vacant properties and building new homes to create a sense of community and pride for those who have served our country. We provide comprehensive support services, including workforce development, and access to VA benefits, to ensure each veteran we serve has the resources needed to succeed.

In the past year, the homeless veteran population has risen by 7.4%, marking the largest increase in over a decade. In Montgomery County alone, there are approximately 761 homeless individuals, including 80 veterans. These courageous men and women, who once served our country, now face the harsh reality of living in shelters, on the streets, under bridges, or in tents. Many are battling mental illness, PTSD, depression, and sadly, some turn to substance abuse or suicide in their struggle for survival.
