In the past year, the homeless Veteran population has surged by 7.4%, marking the largest increase in 12 years. Currently, Montgomery County hosts approximately 761 homeless individuals, among which 80 are Veterans. These brave men and women find themselves sleeping in shelters, on the streets, under bridges, or in tents, grappling with mental illness, PTSD, depression, and tragically, some resort to suicide or substance abuse.
